What Others are Saying About the Guilford Foundation!

Guilford Youth & Family Services is forever grateful for your ongoing commitment and dedication to the mission and purpose of this agency.  Your continued support and generosity assists with the enrichment and implementation of various positive youth development programs, services, and resources that are invaluable in enhancing the necessary skills and strategies for establishing strong and positive relationships with family, school, peers, and the community.
Robin Pinsker , Director Guilford Youth & Family Services

"Over the years, the Guilford Foundation has provided critical seed funding for the Women & Family Life Center to initiate new services to respond to the emerging needs of the community-- most recently, funds to promote internet safety and address cyber-bullying among our youth. The Foundation is unique in that it provides a lasting legacy to Guilford through its endowed funds, which ensures the availability of resources to serve our community in perpetuity."
Liza Petra, Director Women & Family Life Center

“Guilford Free Library projects sponsored by the Guilford Foundation have enriched the lives of Guilford citizens. Library users – infants, preschoolers, elementary students, teens, young parents, “baby boomers” and up through our energetic seniors – all have benefited from library services and programs funded by the Foundation.”
“Thank you Guilford Foundation.”

Sandy Ruoff, Director Guilford Free Library

The benevolence of the Guilford Foundation has benefited thousands of Guilford residents with funding for the basketball court lights at the Emergencies Services property, a ramp at the Roller sports Complex, The Community Band concerts, and the handicapped accessible walkway at the Jacobs Beach boat racks. The Guilford Parks and Recreation Department could not have completed these projects without partnering with the Guilford Foundation.
Rick Maynard, Director Guilford Parks & Recreation

Six years ago, when providing caring adult mentors for children in Guilford was just  a passionate idea,  the Guilford Foundation  provided Guilford Youth Mentoring with the initial seed money to create brochures and other promotional materials to  recruit the first group of mentors to work with students at Guilford High School.   A few years later, the Foundation provided essential support once again to facilitate a pilot program at the elementary level.   At every step of our growth, the generous support and encouragement of the Foundation has promoted the growth of mentoring in Guilford.   The current ll0 mentors meeting weekly in all seven schools in the district as well as the  GYM staff thank the members of the Foundation for their continuing support, invaluable to our growth.
